About ReadGlobe
ReadGlobe is a free reference to how humans think — the mental models, cognitive biases, and great ideas that shape every decision — each explained clearly and cross-linked into one navigable graph. Where most sites give you a definition with no context, and encyclopedias give depth with no connections, ReadGlobe does both: it explains a thinking tool, shows a worked example, and links it to everything around it — the related models, the biases it counters, and the thinkers behind it.
Who builds it
ReadGlobe is built and curated by Paulo de Vries. It is part of the Read family alongside Read Stacks, a companion project that distils the ideas inside non-fiction books. Both come from the same conviction: that the canon of human thought should be accessible, connected, and practical — not locked behind academic prose or scattered across the web.
Our standards
- Every page cites its sources (Wikiquote, Wikipedia, the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Project Gutenberg).
- Disputed attributions are flagged, not hidden — confidence is marked on quotes.
- We synthesise and connect; we don’t fabricate. Editorial interpretation is labelled as ours.
- ReadGlobe is informational reference, not advice — we describe what thinkers argued, we don’t diagnose or prescribe.
